Remove the button pads

Use tweezers or your fingers to remove the silicone pads behind the directional buttons and the action buttons.

Note the orientation of the pads so you can reinstall the pads correctly.

During reassembly, firmly press the pads into place so the cutouts in the pads fully slot over the button housings.
