Place the longest flat side of the safety bumper against the bottom of the toilet seat adjacent to any existing bumper.

Loop the rubber band around the toilet seat so the safety bumper sits flush and securely against the seat.

The perpendicular piece of the safety bumper should fit just inside the toilet bowl when the toilet seat is fully down.

Confirm the placement of the safety bumper and adjust it if necessary. Return the seat to the upright position.
