Flip the laptop over and open the lid.

Be careful while removing the input cover! It is still attached to the mainboard by the touchpad cable. This cable can be left attached for now.

The bottom right corner of the input cover should have lifted up to reveal a small gap which can be used to remove the input cover.

Carefully lift the input cover up from the bottom right corner using your finger or a pry tool. The input cover should be only held in place with magnets.

Avoid using excessive force which may damage the touchpad cable.

If the LED lights on the left and right sides of the case flash red after removing the cover, the system is still powered on. Ensure the laptop is powered off and is unplugged. Check that the LEDs have turned off before continuing.
