Separate the wires by pulling them apart.

De-solder the wires from the connector by pressing the iron against the solder points and then pulling the wire away.

Applying flux along the solder points could assist the process of desoldering.

Pulling too fast on the wire could damage the wire or any other components it's connected to.

Fumes from desoldering can be dangerous, so it's recommended to have a fume extractor next to you while desoldering.
