Align the cutting mat along the marks you made on the glass.

Place the china marker on one edge of the glass, and use the cutting mat to help create a line going to the other end.

Place the blade of the glass cutter on the edge of the glass, and follow the same path you created with the china marker to score the glass.

Attempt to keep the glass cutter straight and firmly press down while scoring the glass.
