Remove the volume button cable from the bracket.

Compare your new replacement part to the original part—you may need to transfer remaining components or remove adhesive backings from the new part before you install it.

During reassembly, follow this guide if you are using a pre-cut adhesive card to attach the new cable to the volume button bracket.
