Apply a few drops of adhesive remover or high-concentration (90% or higher) isopropyl alcohol inside the battery recess along the top edge to weaken the adhesive.

Using more than a few drops of isopropyl alcohol can cause alcohol to leak into the screen and damage it, requiring a more difficult and expensive screen replacement.
