Slide an angled pick under the inner ring of the seal so that you can pry the seal out of the reduction case.

If you did not drain the oil already, oil may start to leak out as soon as you insert the pick. Make sure you have a container ready to contain the spillage.

Pry the seal out of the reduction case, taking care not to mar the aluminum reduction case.

It may take significant force to pry out the seal. It's rigid and fits very tightly in the reduction case.

Remove the oil seal.
