Pull the RAM sticks from their slots.

If they require any amount of force to remove, ensure that both locking tabs have been unlocked.

When reassembling, slide your replacement sticks into the slot. Orient the gold contacts towards the slot. Ensure the plastic tab in the slot lines up with the cutout on the stick. Gently push down on each of the sticks until they lay flat above the motherboard. The two locking arms should audibly click into place when the stick is properly set.

Ensure that you are not forcing the stick into place as this may damage the RAM.
