Remove the headphone jack.

If the heaphone jack does not easily come out of its slot, you can insert the pointy end of a spudger into the jack (as if you were plugging in a pair of headphones) and gently pry it up from the inside.

To replace the headphone jack, line the replacement jack’s hole up with the hole in the phone and slide it into place.
