Now that the circuit board is detached, the connecting wire needs to be removed.

Grasp the wire as shown in picture 2 at the red circle.

Pull straight up, perpendicular to the board. The wire pops off easily.

Tweezers may be used in place of fingers if you can not get a hold of this small wire and its connection.
