Insert the spudger under the battery and push to loosen it from the adhesive.

The adhesive under the battery is very strong and is concentrated on the very left and very right underneath the battery. You may have to use a good amount of force to dislodge it. Do not worry if you hear cracking noises as you dislodge it.
