Before you proceed, make sure your computer is turned off and it's not connected to any power source. Before removing the drive, make a backup copy of all the information on it if possible. Never remove the drive while the system is operating or in suspend mode.

Place laptop with the bottom facing up. Using a Philip #1 screwdriver unscrew all 13 screws. Gently pry the back out using a plastic opening tool, starting from one of the corners.
