+ | [* black] With our [http://www.ifixit.com/Tools/Plastic-Opening-Tools/IF145-000|plastic opening tool] back out, we pry the plastic display bezel from the display assembly. |
[* black] The bezel is secured by a layer of tape (surprising right?) and seems to be made out of a green plastic.
[* red] Upon further investigation, we find that the bezel redirects the light emitted from the top and bottom of the display assembly down across the rest of the display.
[* icon_note] With the display assembly out, we find that it contains the front glass, GlowLight LEDs, and digitizer, all fused together into one component. This makes replacing the whole assembly easier, but replacing one individual part next to impossible. |
