[* black] Turn off your Surface Book and detach the display.
[* black] [guide|25705|Heat and apply an iOpener|new_window=true] or use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the perimeter of the display, in order to soften the glue securing it.
[* black] Use a suction cup or [product|IF145-243-1|iSclack|new_window=true] or pull up on the edge of the display, and create a slight gap between the display glass and the frame.
[* black] Insert an opening pick into the gap.
- [* icon_caution] The bottom right portion of the screen is where the touch controller attaches to the screen. The ribbon cable is only about a quarter of an inch from the edge of the screen, and is easy to damage.
[* icon_caution] Use only gentle force with the pick, and keep the display very hot (slightly too hot to touch). If you use too much force and/or allow the glue to harden, the glass will crack.
