A Samuel of Manuals
Hi! I’m Sam and I am a technical writer at iFixit.
I was raised in northern California where I grew up riding bikes, shooting photos, and playing guitar. I now live on the central coast and still get to do all of those things!
The first thing I learned to fix was my bike. Flats, broken chains, wobbling wheels, and crashes were constant. The shop was too expensive for a kid so I had to maintain and repair my own bikes. At first it was intimidating, but eventually it became relaxing. As life went on I learned to work on computers, cars, phones, guitars, GoPeds, and amps.
Completing an intimidating repair is an empowering experience. It builds confidence and teaches us to appreciate the technology we love. My job is to equip others with excellent repair guides that inspire confidence and help them empower themselves.
