[title] ISO writing application acquisition
[* black] Get a USB flash drive. You should at least use an ***8GB*** drive. 8GB drives should be future proof until ISO's start to exceed 8GB. However, 16GB will probably be better if you can afford a 16GB drive. If you cannot afford a new drive or want to reuse an old one, a 4GB drive will work.
-[* black] Download a program called [https://unetbootin.github.io/|Unetbootin] to get the program you will use for this. [https://rufus.akeo.ie/|Rufus] is another option if Unetbootin does not work.
+[* black] Download a program called [https://rufus.akeo.ie/|Rufus] . This is what we will be using to write the ISO to the USB flash drive.
+[* icon_note] If you cannot make Rufus work, [https://unetbootin.github.io/|Unetbootin] will work in place of Rufus. Just be aware Unetbootin requires you format your USB stick manually and it is known to have problems with NTFS, which can be a problem for some larger USB flash drives.
[* black] Run the program and select the flash drive you want to use. Due to how the guide was written, a new drive is recommended. You can use a old drive if you want, but these will need to be formatted before you use it for this guide.
[* icon_caution] ***Note on flash drive reuse:*** If you use a used drive, start with steps 6-9 and then work with steps 1-5. The writing style is intended for new flashdrives. ***NOTE: Rufus will do this for you automatically. There should be no need to format the drive manually unless Rufus has a problem due to filesystem damage that it cannot deal with.***
