[title] Checking for a die cast laser
-[* black] Lift the laser out of the PlayStation. Next, remove the 2 screws from the bottom, to check if this is a plastic or die cast laser. Use the Phillips PH1 bit to remove this cover.
-[* black] Replace the cover once you confirm the laser is die cast. If you see a plastic laser, you have to replace the laser or disc drive assembly.
-[* icon_note] This is to be sure you have a die cast laser, and not a plastic one.
+[* black] With the laser removed from the system, remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the laser. Use a ***Phillips PH1*** screwdriver. You need to do this to verify if your laser is die cast or plastic.
+[* black] With the cover off of the laser, look at the laser. The laser should look like the laser in the picture. If it doesn't, it is a plastic laser assembly. After this is verified, put the cover back on the bottom of the laser.
