[* red] Disconnect the main flex cable going to the control board in the receiver to remove the faceplate. Disconnect the ribbon cables going to the iPod Direct port and the front panel.
-[* orange] If your receiver has the iPod Direct board option installed, you will also have to disconnect this. Disconnect the cable going to the iPod Direct board. Not all models have this, and it was only found on higher spec models.
