-[* black] Once unscrewed, the back plate should come off with little resistance. A plastic opening tool may be used to loosen it.
-[* red] The back plate will separate from the front of the controller but stay connected by a length of cable. This can make exploring the controller's insides difficult. We recommend that you set the back plate above the controller while you work on it, as seen in the photo.
