-[* black] First, slide the on/off switch to off, this should power off your device. To assure yourself it's off check that no screens are still on and no lights on the device are flashing either.
-[* black] Turn the camera over to the bottom. There you'll find the latch of the camera, It's a sliding latch that is marked with lock and open. Push the latch towards open and the battery cover will pop open. Upon opening the latch you'll see where the battery is located.
