-[* icon_caution] ***The ATA Security Set features supported by your hard drive may not be consistent. Some hard drives do not support all ATA Security Set features.***
-[* black] If you have decided not to reuse the drive, it can be wiped while you are in Parted Magic. To determine what your options are, you will need to see what features of the ATA Security Set are available. ***It is not uncommon for older drives to not support certain ATA Security Set features***.
-[* red] If your drive is new enough to support internal erasure, this is ideal ***unless the drive has a known issue that bricks it if this is used***. Select this option and see what happens. The drive I used for this guide ***does not*** support ATA Secure Erase.
-[* orange] If your drive has problems using ATA Secure Erase or does not support the feature, select ***External*** and select the option you wish to use. ***If you are concerned about the security of the drive erasure, select Nwipe and use DOD Short***. If you are more concerned with erasing it for disposal, any option will work.
