Conclusion
In order to reconstruct the camera after screen replacement, attach the screen cover, noting the grey extension, and apply pressure to the bottom first. Put the eye cover into place and reinsert the screw you removed in step 2.
With the main screen cover in place, follow steps 1-3 in reverse to completely reassemble the device. If the new screen was attached correctly, the camera should function as normal.
