Introduction |
This set of instructions covers the Apple Powerbook 190/5300 Series’s hard drive removal and replacement. Apple’s Service Source document is navigated to demonstrate and simplify this procedure, and is referenced below. The procedure specifics can be found under the “Take Apart” section (slide 72), pages 40-44 (slides 112-116). The document is attached in the “Details” tab. This procedure should be performed for the replacement of a faulty or inoperable hard drive; including but not limited to data cable damage, or power cable damage.
