Introduction
This guide is to help users replace the motherboard from the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC 3830.
# Remove screws from the back cover of the device.
# Once the back cover is off, remove four smaller screws from the Motherboard.
# On the top right, you will see two sets of wires. One set is made up of a red and a green wire and the other set is made up of a red and blue wire. You will notice that both sets are attached by their combs to the Motherboard. Remove both of the combs.
# On the left side, there is a skinny rectangular piece which is also attached to a set of wires made up of a white and a blue wire. Detach the skinny rectangular piece from the set of wires.
# Located on the right side of the skinny rectangular piece is a long white comb that is attached to a what looks like a film roll. Remove the "film roll" by gently pulling on it with tweezers.
# Last but not least, on the bottom right of the Motherboard is a comb that is attached to white connector. Remove with tweezers
