Introduction |
| Replacing the motherboard of your laptop can be a daunting tasks. If your motherboard needs to be replaced this guide will help you remove the old motherboard so that you can replace it with a new one. | | To remove the motherboard of your laptop you'll first need to remove the back cover, the battery, and the hard drive. Before starting this replacement make sure that you have the proper tools. You'll need a Halberd Spudgerspudger; an iFixit Opening Toolopening tool; iFixit Opening Picksopening picks; Nylon-Tip Reverse Tweezerstip reverse tweezers; and Phillips Headhead #1, #0, and #00 Screwdriversscrew drivers. | | When removing any chip or board from your laptop be careful to touch the sides only. Touching any of the components can harmdamage them.
