Introduction |
If your Echo device is experiencing hardware issues and app is functioning, your motherboardmain board may need to be replaced. Follow this guide to do so.
The main board of your echo dot is the control center from which your device takes all its commands. If your main board is not functioning properly it will need to be replaced.
Before replacing your mainboard check your device for other causes of disruption. For example if you find that your Alexa is not responding to you, but the lights are functioning you may be experiencing a speaker issue.
Before attempting, make sure the deviceEcho dot is turned off and unplugged from the external power source. To complete this guide you will need a T6 Torx drillscrewdriver bit, T5 Torx screwdriver bit, JIS J1 drill bittscrewdriver bit, precision tweezer set, and prying tool. |
