Introduction
The Toshiba Portege R705-P35 has a DVD disc drive to load and play video files. If your DVD wontwon't play, even after cleaning, the DVD drive may need to be replaced using this guide. The drive is located on the left side of the device when it is open and in the standard position. The drive can be easily accessed by removing the back panel. Be sure to save all the screws and the metal plate for easy reinstallation. Also when plugging in the ribbon cable make sure itsit's completely inserted.
