If your laptop is unable to view or connect to wifi, then the laptop likely has a dysfunctional wireless adapter. Follow this guide in order to replace the laptop’s wireless adapter.
The Acer Aspire V5-131-2629 has a built-in wireless adapter. If the Acer Aspire is no longer connecting to the Wi-Fi, it is likely this adapter has gone out.  To replace please obtain the IFIX IT opening tool, Phillips #0 screwdriver and the spudge, all of which are linked below.
