Use this guide to replace the condenser fan and motor in your Whirlpool Refrigerator.
The condenser fan draws air over the compressor and through the condenser coils. If your refrigerator won't cool properly, then the condenser fan might be broken.
This guide will work for most Whirlpool refrigerators. This guide is written with a model WRS315SDHW refrigerator. If you have a different model, you may encounter some minor disassembly differences, but the overall repair process will be the same.
Note: Some photos show the doors removed for clarity purposes. Removing them is not required and will not change the procedure.

Turn off your main water supply

Unplug your device

Remove the screw(s) securing the rear panel.

Loosen the screw securing the water hose enough for the rear panel to freely move.

Pull the rear panel off the chassis to remove it.

Disconnect the connector attached to the condenser fan.

-
Pull the condenser fan straight off its peg to remove it.

-
Remove the screw(s) securing the condenser fan motor to the chassis.

Rotate the motor housing through its slot in the chassis.

Remove the motor.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
