Use this guide to replace the defrost thermistor in your Whirlpool WRS315SDHW Refrigerator.
The defrost thermistor measures the temperature of the evaporator in your freezer during the defrost process and allows the main control to cycle the defrost heater. If your defrost system doesn't work properly, your defrost thermistor might have failed.
To replace the refrigerator thermistor, follow this guide instead.
Note: Some photos show the doors removed for clarity purposes. Removing them is not required and will not change the procedure.
