Locate the battery compartment on the back of the Uniden home phone.

Place your finger on the groove, and pull directly back on the cover to access to the battery.

Remove the white battery pack from the battery compartment.

Remove the red-and-black-wired port from the plug directly under the battery compartment.

What type of battery do I need?
I was given a Uniden homephone cordless DECT 6 but it has no battery in it. How do I know what battery to buy?
I’ve paid $30 for a battery still not working.

the hand set does not work nither one will charge I just bought it from Walmart in sant cloud florida I have the uniden 6.0 answering mic plus the 2 hand sets 1 for the base and 1 for the ex phone what do I do because I had it on charge for 2 days now.i m disabled and need I phone to work thank you for any help u can give me or please send me 2 batterys 1 for each phone and I will send the 2 I just got with my new phone hope that works after I replace the batterys ty u can send to 1311 w rosewood ave sant cloud florida 34771 thank you

Does it slide down or open out from where the finger groove is?

I had the same problem removing the back. I placed a knife in the center and was finally able to get it off. I think the red & black wire on the battery causes the problem.

I tried knife, but I can't get battery cover off of one of the Uniden phones. I have new batteries but can't get the blasted cover off.
