If the battery will not hold any charge or if no power is going through to the device you will have to change the battery.

Remove the rubber pad from the bottom of the device by using the nylon spudger to pry the glue holding it together. Then use the spudger to remove the rubber pad.

Unscrew the four 6mm screws located under pad using the PH0 screwdriver head and lift plastic cover using the nylon spudger. Be careful not to sever the wire that leads to the circuit board.

Use the nylon spudger and the plastic opening tool to lift up the battery from the casing. Use the spudger on one side and the plastic opening tool on the other.
It requires a considerable amount of force to detach the battery from the adhesive tape holding the battery in its bay.

To remove battery, cut the wires that connect to the battery.
-
To reconnect battery, solder wires back onto new battery.
What about the voltage of the Battery ? Is it 3.7 volt or 7.4 volt Lithium Battery ?
Thanks a lot.
I can not put another battery, because the wire is too short, making it unfeasible. Do you have any tips?
Need to know where to get the battery and what voltage it is.
Its preferable to remove the shrink wrap holding the batteries together. After removing the shrink wrap expose as much of the red and black wires as possible and cut them as close to the battery as possible. This will provide additional wire in which to solder to.

What is battery spec and how can i get one?
Mike
Hola. Donde puedo comprar una bateria para este modelo. Soy de Argentina
Battery spec contained in my unit:
7V 2600mAh 19.24Wh
CM-18650T-2S
Notes: There was a lot of “glue” on my unit between the battery and back facing side of the battery well. I used Popsicle sticks to work the glue loose before I was able to more confidently pull the battery out.
Does anyone know how to convert this to direct USB power or power adapter? I know that I can charge it using USB, but I think the battery in my unit is almost dead because it doesn’t last long. If I keep it plugged to USB while using it, it turns off after some time, again probably because of the bad battery.
I appreciate the information but in THIS case it is mot worth the expense and effort to refurbish a $25 unit. Thank again for the effort
