    • Using a thin tool or item, such as a paper clip, poke around through the holes on both ends of the wand to remove any foreign material.

    • Place the steam wand in a de-calcifying solution as directed by product.

    • Reconnect the steam wand.

    • See the links section of the device page to purchase a new steam wand.

The de-calcifying solution is for cleaning out lime water deposits in the steam wand.

The other thing you may have is dried and baked on MILK, like in the 2nd picture, or if the milk was allowed to siphon back into the wand, you want to use something like RINZA to clean out the dried milk.

To replace steam-wand seals (in case of water leaking out from the center of the steam-wand): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fulyy9A9... , but note - for parts: https://philips.encompass.com/model/SAER... (worth going to amazon.de and entering the partnumbers into the search box: e.g. the o-rings for the needle-valve (996530013462)

I have a machine where the steam wand was leaking.

It just needed the cam on the steam valve to be adjusted, so that the valve could be closed, before the cam hits the stop.
