The tool for this is $40.00 + shipping, on this site. Is there somewhere else I can aquire this tool for a lot less? That's about 1/3 of the cost of the vacuum, and it seems steep. I have 4 vacuums that need minor fixes so I can actually use them, as the companies are making junk for our landfills. The products are amazing but the hardware around them are plastic and break early in the life of the vacuum.....arghhh
