Introduction

Use this guide to remove or replace the SIM card or SIM tray in your Samsung Galaxy S8.

  1. Insert a SIM card opening tool into the small hole on the left side of the top edge of the phone. Press to eject the tray. Remove the SIM card tray from the phone.
    • Insert a SIM card opening tool into the small hole on the left side of the top edge of the phone.

    • Press to eject the tray.

    • Remove the SIM card tray from the phone.

    • When reinserting the SIM card, ensure that it is in the proper orientation relative to the tray.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

My tray actually broke off inside it, I could not remove it far enough to even get the sim card in it, only the sd card, is there a way to open it up?
