The gasket of the brewing unit has to withstand heavy usage. Especially the large O-Ring on the piston needs replacing from time to time. Follow this guide to replace the gasket.
These instructions may also help with other Saeco models and with coffee makers from Philips and Gaggia—they are all made by the same manufacturer and have a very similar design.

Open the hatch on the side panel and remove the brewing unit.

Remove the two Torx T10 screws on the crema valve.

Lift off the crema valve minding the spring and the glass ball.
Can you tell me how the glass ball and spring are to be inserted? They fell off so I want to make sure if I put them back properly. Should the glass ball be in contact with the small piece with the 2 screws or the brewing unit (the latter makes more sense to me)
Brewing piston - glas ball - spring - cover with screws. Pay attention to the spring: the thinner end shows towards the ball. The function of the ball is a “Aroma-Valve". The hot Coffee flows through the hole in the piston and has to bypass the spring-loaded ball, which therefore vibrates, thus producing the “crema".

The upper piston is held in place in the frame with four locking pawls. Push down all four latches with a spudger, then remove the piston by pushing it downward.

Unscrew the Torx T10 screw on the brewing sieve and remove it.

There are three Torx T10 screws in deep blind holes that hold together the two parts of the brewing unit. Unscrew them and lift off the upper side panel.

Der große o-ring am Kolben ist natürlich besonders wichtig. Dann eventuell noch der kleine am Einlaufstutzen, ein zweiter an der Innenseite des Einlaufstutzens. Oben am Cremaventil ist ein etwas größerer, und ganz schwer zu erreichen der innen um die Kolbenstange. Aber wirklich wichtig sind die beiden erstgenannten. Man findet diverse Dichtungssets, z.B. das hier.

Now you can disassemble the brewing unit into its three main parts: the brewing unit and the two side panels.

You can push out the lower piston from the brewing unit if you snap the deflection lever out of its socket with a screw driver.

Clean all parts with very hot water and dishwasher liquid.

Grease all moving parts with food grade silicone fat. Dont forget the tracks in the side panels.

Der untere Kolben hat eine Dichtung am Kolbenschaft, die (fast) nicht getauscht werden kann. Eventuell kann die Dichtung an der Befestigung zum Cremaventil (Bild 2) getauscht werden, die ist allerding drucklos und geht selten kaputt, genauso die an der Befestigung des oberen Brühsiebs und innen am Einlauf der Brüheinheit. Für die Brühgruppe im Wesentlichen Entwarnung. Aber: Wahrscheinlich liegen auch noch die stark belasteten Dichtungen am Supportventil ("Einlaufstutzen") dabei, die wirklich ausgetauscht und gefettet werden sollten. Take this opportunity to carefully replace the two O-rings on the support valve. The larger one is at the top. These two seals are stressed during every brewing process. Therefore, lubricate them with food-safe silicone grease.

Bei meiner Molto wurde "Schutz Pumpe und o-Ring erneuert". Jetzt kommt wieder die Meldung "Entlüften" - wie vor der Reparatur auch - und die Maschine geht nicht mehr. Wo finde ich diesen o-Ring? Kann ich dies selbst machen?

Das dürfte eher nichts an der Brühgruppe liegen. Die Pumpe geht, Wasser fließt ordentlich? Vielleicht gibt der Durchflussmesser ("Flowmeter") keine Signale? Der Testmodus - Google hilft - könnte bei der Suche nützlich sein.
