    • Begin by turning the mouse upside down.

    • Use a Phillips #00 to loosen the two captive screws circled in the first image.

    • These screws do NOT come out, they merely loosen.

    • Slide the palm rest toward the back of the mouse. It should slide down its track and come right off.

There’s also a version that has no screws to undo, just disregard the second step and follow the rest of the guide

is the battery a standard AA battery size or did they use a different size?

… what happens if I don't use a rechargeable battery?

Russell Phillips - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0

Its fine… You just need to remember not to put it on the recharging base… and the battery will be basically dead after 24 hour use.

will any brand battery work or does the stock one have specific specs?

I don’t have the screws on the bottom of my mouse wtf!

Miika mon - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0

The screws don’t actually need to be removed you only need to hold down the button that adjusts the length.

Shane Madden - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0

You should specify that this mouse uses NiMH and not Li-ion batteries.
