This guide will instruct you how to replace the motherboard cushions of an LG Chocolate 3 Flip-phone (LG VX8560). There are no special skills required for this project, but be prepared to handle small screws and parts of the phone.
The motherboard is the “heart” of the phone. It connects all other parts of the phone together that help perform tasks. The cushions are what keep the motherboard separate from other parts of the phone, that way it does not get scratched or damaged.
Before beginning, make sure to power off your device.

Flip phone over so its backside is facing up.

Push from indentation and slide battery cover away from phone to remove battery cover.

Take out the battery once cover is off by gently prying with your fingers.

Using a philips screwdriver, unscrew all 4 screws along the edge of the phone

Using your plastic pry tool, insert the tool between the phone’s keypad cover and back cover and gently pry apart.

Locate the cushions, which should be in the corners of the motherboard.

Gently but firmly remove the old cushions with a pair of tweezers.
