This guide helps you with removal and replacing the Heat Sink and Fan for HP Pavilion x360 14m-cd0003dx laptop. If your computer is getting heated too often during the use, it may need to be replaced.

Turn off the computer.

Disconnect the power cord and any external devices connected to the computer.

Flip the device so that the back plate of the laptop is up.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the four 6 mm Phillips screws from the bottom cover.

Pry off the back cover with the spudger tool.

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven 5 mm screws that secure the fan and heatsink.

Peel back the retention tape that secures the heat sink assembly.

Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the system board.

Remove the heat sink assembly from the device.
