This guide will assist you to replace the battery for the HP Pavilion 15-bk020wm. Be sure you purchased the correct replacement battery before attempting to take the old one out. There is a prerequisite guide to open the bottom of the laptop for easier access. Be sure to power down your device before any disassembly.

Remove the 4 computer feet. (Our device didn't have these; they can be taken off with a plastic spudger.)

Remove the two screw cover strips.

Remove the two screw cover plugs.

Unscrew all 12 screws (size: Phillips M2.5×7.0 ) from the bottom of the computer.

Turn the computer over to the front.

Open the laptop.

Use a plastic pry tool to pry up the keyboard cover near the hinge on both the right and left side, and work your way towards the touchpad.

Tilt the keyboard cover up slightly.
I don’t have the 2 orange screws under my laptop, but when I unscrew the other 10, and try to lift the keyboard, I can’t lift it fully because it’s being held down by something.
The ribbon cables for the keyboard and trackpad are held in place by some clips. Unlatching those clips allow you to carefully remove the ribbon cables and place the keyboard assembly aside. This gives more room for removing the hard drive.

Detach the blue ZIF cable from the bottom of the laptop.

Use a plastic opening tool to flip up the two ZIF cables connecting the battery to the motherboard.

Remove the four Phillips M2.5x4.4 screws using the Phillips 00 located along the perimeter of the battery.

Lift the damaged battery from the laptop.

Insert the new battery.

I didn't actually do this particular repair because i don't have this particular laptop(thank God), however in reading through the directions, if i did have this one, these would've been a God sent without a doubt !
i was thinking how much easier replacing the cooling fan would've been in my old Compaq laptop if I would've had instructions like these.

I did this and the beeping stopped, and it seemed like it would power up, and it is turning on now, but it’s not booting up and the screen is dead.

Hidden bolts are tricky to understand at first.
can i still use my laptop without the battery (the same type of battery shown on those picture) and directly plugged in?? I've been worried since it's just stuck on a very low percentage
