Use this guide to replace the earbud battery in your Fairphone Fairbuds.
While the earbud battery is classified as a LIR1054 3.6V rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it's a different shape than similar batteries you can source at a store. You can buy them from Fairphone here.

Remove your earbuds from the charging case.

Use your fingers or tweezers to pull the silicone ring off its groove in the earbud.

Remove the silicone ring.

Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the notch on the battery tray, above the plus and minus sign.

Pry up to unlatch the battery tray from the earbud.

Swing open the battery tray and remove the battery.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
For optimal performance, calibrate your newly installed battery after completing this guide.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.

I wish a company would make some non-ANC airpod type headphones that use standard hearing aid batteries i can buy at the grocery store.
