Removal of the battery will be covered in this guide. Be careful disconnecting cables as to not break them or their connectors.
For your safety, discharge your battery below 25% before disassembling your device. This reduces the risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is accidentally damaged during the repair. If your battery is swollen, take appropriate precautions.

Using a T5 Torx screwdriver, remove ten 3mm screws.

Lift the plastic tab.

Remove two 3mm Phillips #0 screws under the plastic tab.

Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the seven 3.5mm screws that secure the battery to the palm rest assembly.

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
