Audio issues or sound failure in the Dell XPS 15 9510 indicates that the speakers located on either side of the laptop may need replacement. There are no special skills involved in the removal of the speakers.

Remove eight 3 mm screws from the underside of the case using a T5 Torx screwdriver.

Wedge the case apart with a nylon spudger.

Slide spudger along each side of the laptop

Lift the back panel of the laptop off and set it aside.

Remove the 4 pieces of black tape holding the speaker wire in place.

Remove the four 2.5 mm screws holding the speakers in place using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Lift the black tape that covers the power supply pin plug.

Lift the speakers up from the securing pins.

Begin removing the wire from the track on the computer body.

Now the speakers will be fully disconnected from the computer.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
