The Dell Precision 3541 internally houses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery located inside of the chassis, otherwise known as “underbody”. The battery might require replacement for a number of reasons, caused by degradation hindering performance quality. The following steps describe the process for battery removal in cases of needed replacement.
Before you begin, power off and unplug your device to avoid any damage or safety issues.

The first step for battery replacement is to remove the base cover which is the bottom panel of the device. You will find a total of eight small screws, three on each side, and two in the middle of the panel. Once all screws are removed, it may be helpful to use a flat, pointy tool such as a paint key, to pop the panel off of the device.

Once looking at the interior of the underbody, you should find a rectangular encasement panel in the bottom right corner of the device. This component is the battery. On the battery, you will find one screw on the right side and two on the top. Unscrew all three carefully, putting them in a safe holding place.
