    • Using the spudger, create space between the speaker covers and then remove.

    • On the underside of the device, remove the rubber stand with the BeatsPill logo on it.

    • Using an ESD-safe Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the four screws that were underneath the rubber stand.

    • Open the device to separate the front and back panels.

    • Ground yourself when touching the motherboard.

    • Remove the four 6 mm screws holding the band in place using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Remove the three 9 mm screws from motherboard and rubber stopper using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Remove the motherboard from the tabs and gently lift it out of the case.

    • Remove the yellow NFC module that is attached to the motherboard from the plastic casing with tweezers.

    • Remove the power button and springs.

    • Using a soldering iron, attach the battery to the new motherboard with the red wire connecting to the 0.2 volts (+) and black wire connecting to the ground (-).
