The Asus K55A-Si50301P Hard Drive Replacement Guide explains the tools and process used to replace/remove the Hard Drive as needed. Press and slide the two battery retention clips on either side of the battery towards the unlock position.

Pull the right side retention clip so that the red indicator is showing.

Pull the retention clip on the left hand side of the laptop away from the battery.

Gently pull the battery out with your free hand.

Remove the two 8.5mm screws using a PH0 screwdriver.

Using the iFixit opening tool, gently pry the plastic cover away from its original position.

Gently pull up and then towards you until the plastic cover is free.

Remove the (3) screws that hold the hard drive to the case.

Disconnect the SATA link from the hard drive by pulling back on the grey connector.

Remove the two screws from each side of the hard drive tray.
