The speakerphone is used to talk hands-free on the phone. If your AT&T phone, model ATT CL2940 speakerphone is not functioning properly, this guide will provide steps for replacing the speaker.
You will need to solder to complete this guide. If you are not familiar, check out this article for an introduction. Be careful as the soldering iron will be very hot. This guide will teach you how do de-solder the malfunctioning speaker, and re-solder the new one in place.
Before you begin, make sure the phone is disconnected from the external power source.

Remove five 9.5 mm Phillips #1 screws from the back panel of the phone.

Slide the metal spudger into the crack and continue around to the front panel of the phone.

Remove the front panel of the device as shown.

Desolder the speakerphone with a soldering iron.

Use the soldering iron to reconnect the wires to the new speaker.

Place the new speaker back in place.
