If your 8BitDo Pro 2 controller action buttons are unresponsive or not registering input correctly, the buttons may need to be replaced. This guide will walk you through removing and installing the action buttons on your controller.
The action buttons are responsible for sending the primary input commands during gameplay. Over time, the responsiveness and accuracy can affect the buttons.
Before using this guide, try cleaning around the base of the action buttons, as debris can sometimes interfere with proper function. You should also test the controller on multiple devices to ensure it is in the correct input mode to confirm the issue is hardware related, see the troubleshooting page for more information.
This repair will require you to open the controller. Before beginning, make sure to power off your controller.
