Follow this guide to replace the cabin air filter in your 2009-2013 Toyota Corolla. Toyota recommends replacing the cabin air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. You should replace it more frequently if you drive in dustier conditions, like heavy traffic or on dirt roads. If you experience low or no air flow from your vents, it may be time to replace your cabin air filter. You'll need a replacement air filter to complete this repair, which you can buy online or at your local auto parts store.

This is great! Thank you so much :) Saved $80
The direction of airflow is definitely from top to bottom. I stuck a piece of paper in while the cabin filter was out with fan running, it pulled the paper downward. Be careful not to let the paper go too low because it will hit the fan just a couple inches below the filter compartment.
Very useful. TY
There is another air filter above this one. Anyone know how to remove it so it can be cleaned or replaced?
I’m an 85 year old widow and I can follow these detailed instructions. Thank you very much.
